Tarwheel Training Ride - Saturday (15 Mar) 3 Years, 11 Months ago
I need to get a noggin count to see how many folks want to increase the distance of Saturday's ride to approximately 30 miles. I plan to increase each subsequent weekend by 10 miles until the weekend prior to the Tarwheel, topping out at 70 miles.

We can ride an extra loop on the East side of the normal ride route (plus an extra mile or so) to get 30 miles. 40 miles can simply be two normal ride routes broken up with a quick "SAG" stop at the shop. We can discuss the higher mileage ride routes later.

Weather backup will be Sunday.

Hi Phil,
This Saturday, Jason and I are doing the Crit in Suffolk we will not be there for the ride We do plan however, to do a long ride to bridge and back (easy pace of 17-19) on Sunday. We are trying to get a few others to join us. If you want to go (or anyone else) on Sunday just let us know. After this weekend, we are able to do Sat longer rides as you have posted. There are no other local races till next month.
See you on the road!

This Sunday should work but I need to keep the long rides on Saturdays after that (and I know of at least two others needing to do the same). Coincidentally, the Between the Frogs ride (BTW - I think the "Lily Pad Hop" would have been a catchier name) falls on the same weekend as the planned a 60 mile ride.

Best of luck on your race! What do you say - break a leg?

yo Dirt,
I think break a leg is for actors. Lets say break a spoke or pop a tire or grab some gear. those sound pretty catchy

For me, bikes are like women and shoes...you need a pair for every occasion.

Only cue sheets I could find were from 2006 at http://www.rivercitycyclingclub.com/ rccc_routes.htm

We'll see you there!
