Fall Foliage Ride: October 18-19 Staunton VA 3 Years, 4 Months ago
Hi all -

There is a weekend mixed ride with family / tourist activities going out of Staunton VA on the weekend of 18-19.
http://www.shenandoahbike.org/

You have to click a few items at the very bottom of the web page to get to the weekend schedule; it includes activities Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Schedule: http://www.shenandoahbike.org/ ScheduleofEvents.html
Routes: http://www.shenandoahbike.org/RideOptions.htm

I am planning to travel up on Friday night, and ride the 35 or 45 miles routes on Saturday. And then visit my daughter at JMU in the afternoon.

Anyone interested in riding?

I'm interested! I think I'm going to "kidnap" my family that weekend. My wife works on Sunday, so we'll be coming back on Saturday night (so I'll be at the Sunday ride).

I was thinking about doing a 45-50 mile ride up there. I hear it's pretty nice.

Hi Lee -

Very cool. I am not sure of my exact schedule - but I will definetly go up on Friday. I may return on Saturday night or Sunday. I think the 45 mile route should be good. One of my daughters roomates at JMU (20 miles north) will ride. I want to call and see if we can somehow reduce the $90 registration fee - maybe we can do something reduced if we are just riding?

I will corodinate more with you next week. I am out of pocket this weekend.

Rob said he might be interested as well.

Hey Dave,

Sorry, but I think I'm going to have to take a pass. I've been sick all week, and I'm still not quite over it yet. Plus, my son is with me this week and it's homecoming, so...

I'm am still definitely planning on riding the between the waters.

Hi All

I just registered for the ride in Staunton this weekend. You can register for 1 day plus a late fee $55. Includes SAG, T-shirt, rest stops and meal after the ride.

I am driving up Friday and riding Saturday - will do either 45 or 100. I have never done 100 on hills it might be really, really fun.

If anyone else is going - let me know.
