Williamsburg riding 3 Years, 2 Months ago
Rode up in Williamsburg last weekend, well worth the drive up there. Mostly quite roads and lots of hill. Come spring, I'd to make a trip up there at least every month.

If anyone is interested in going up there sooner let me know.

We basically started at William and Mary and made a big, 58 mile, clockwise loop.

For me, bikes are like women and shoes...you need a pair for every occasion.

Hi Paul -

I would be up for a Williamsburg ride when the weather is good. Let's talk about it on Saturday.

OK Paul,
I am in, whatever I have to do to log miles.
What are these things you call hills?

I guess the forum doesn't accept long hyper_link_s (Lee...help). Cut and paste the _link_ and you get the idea. Delete the points at the SE part, my friend lives there so we left from his house.

Whatever you and Jason decide is fine with me. Thanks for posting Paul and for riding with me this morning. Are you interested in any more morning rides?

Wednesday is good with me. I will check out the route. Do you think we can be finished by 7:15 if we meet at 4:ish???

Hey Paul!

point at the URL button in the Boardcode section and it will show the code. It's Boardcode... It opens and closes with square brackets (if I put them in it will convert it to a _link_!

Re:Williamsburg riding 2 Years, 11 Months ago
Slightly revised route.

Alright, no joy with a slightly modified _link_. That is what I get for using a Mac and Safari. The route is 47 miles and maybe a little difficult to cut short as it is a big loop. We can always turn around part way through. Even if we only average 15 mph, that is 3 hours so finishing by 7:15 shouldn't be a problem as long as we start on time. Route is a little slow (traffic) around W & M but then it opens up. Lots of hills but only two will really challenge you. Should be a good warm up for Jeff Cup...beats Pungo Ferry bridge x 15. Give me a call and we can coordinate a start time and meeting place.

Ace, Donna, anyone else,

Wed, 4 PM sounds good. Went to Map My Ride and found dozens of routes already mapped near Williamsburg. Found a nice 33 mile loop that will let us get our feet wet and still finish before 7 PM. http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/va/ williamsburg/660622399067

Cue sheet says it has 2 of the biggest hills in the area.

My cell phone is no more, but Donna has my home number. Give me a call when you get home tonight.

Was this ride today? I thought that Jason had told me it was Thursday. If it is tomorrow, I'd be interested in coming up.

Pauls phone is out. Verizon cut his line while digging.
He was able to talk to me and set up meeting time and place.
Williamsburg Community Hospital at 4pm. The address is 1238 Mount Vernon Ave.
He is bringing his dad from Colorado too. He should be able to give us some tips on climbing.
